Diligent In The Labour

To be diligent is to be constant, attentive and persistent in effort, to accomplish something.
Labour is defined as productive work; productive activity, especially for the sake of gain.
What is our responsibility as God’s labourers? It is to diligently labour in His vineyard.
What is the criterion of being a labourer?
Luke 14:26-27 (KJV) (Forsaking all) – “If any man come to me, and hate not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple”.
Matthew 9:35 - 38 (AMP) – “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news (the Gospel) of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few. So pray to the Lord of the harvest to force out and thrust laborers into His harvest.
Matthew 13: 3-8 (KJV) – “And he spake many things unto them in parables, saying, Behold, a sower went forth to sow; And when he sowed, some seeds fell by the way side, and the fowls came and devoured them up: Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away. And some fell among thorns; and the thorns sprung up, and choked them: But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold.
Isaiah 32 (AMPC) - Happy and fortunate are you who cast your seed upon all waters [when the river overflows its banks; for the seed will sink into the mud and when the waters subside, the plant will spring up; you will find it after many days and reap an abundant harvest], you who safely send forth the ox and the donkey [to range freely].
Matthew 28:18-20 (KJV) – “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
1 Kings 19:10; 18 – “And he said, I have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy covenant, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away”.
“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him”.
Genesis 6:5-8 (KJV) – “And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.  But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord”.
(TLB) – “When the Lord God saw the extent of human wickedness, and that the trend and direction of men’s lives were only towards evil, he was sorry he had made them. It broke his heart. And he said, “I will blot out from the face of the earth all mankind that I created. Yes, and the animals too, and the reptiles and the birds. For I am sorry I made them.” But Noah was a pleasure to the Lord”.
(MSG) – “God saw that human evil was out of control. People thought evil, imagined evil—evil, evil, evil from morning to night. God was sorry that he had made the human race in the first place; it broke his heart. God said, “I’ll get rid of my ruined creation, make a clean sweep: people, animals, snakes and bugs, birds—the works. I’m sorry I made them.” But Noah was different. God liked what he saw in Noah”.
Acts 8: 1-4 (TLB) – “Paul was in complete agreement with the killing of Stephen. And a great wave of persecution of the believers began that day, sweeping over the church in Jerusalem, and everyone except the apostles fled into Judea and Samaria.  (But some godly Jews came and with great sorrow buried Stephen.) Paul was like a wild man, going everywhere to devastate the believers, even entering private homes and dragging out men and women alike and jailing them. But the believers who had fled Jerusalem went everywhere preaching the Good News about Jesus!”

Prayers

·      Lord, let gratitude and thanksgiving never depart from our hearts and lives for this great task You have allowed us in Your mercy to partake of. Lord we are grateful.

·    Lord, help us to know what kind of labourers we are. If we have not forsaken all, Lord give us light that we may see and repent! Help us to arise where we have fallen short, and to press on diligently. Let Your alarm bells go off in our heart, make us sensitive, diligent and faithful.

·   Father, help us to remain diligent labourers, no matter the circumstance or the situation. Jesus did not give up on going to the cross, neither did He loose heart when He saw how large the harvest was but with few labourers. Help us Lord to encourage our hearts in You and press on diligently.

·    Lord, even though the labourers are few, we who You have called, help us Lord, encourage our hearts as You did Elijah. Lord, Your heart was encouraged by the life of Noah, let our lives, as few as we may be, bring pleasure to You in the labour.

·     2 Corinthians 4:2 (KJV) – “But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God”. Lord, let our lives as Your labourers manifest the truth, not only “speaking” the truth, or even “praying” the truth, let our very lives as labourers in Your vineyard manifest Your truth.

UK Solemn Assembly 2016

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Friday 12:30pm - 1:25pm (UK time)

According to this parable and its illustration by Jesus from Luke Chapter 8, there are four classes of people (His people) whom the Lord is bringing once again to limelight. As we prayerfully cry and plead for His coming revival at this moment, Christ is seeking to pour His life into the souls of men that are needed. And as they seek Him, Christ will begin to purge them for His purpose.

Therefore, the Lord of Harvest is on the lookout for men/women/boys/girls, who are ready, available and fit for the Master’s use, which is His entire purpose; hence there is the need for Him to “make the man.” But this can only be men who have made themselves available to or for Him.

So even as invitations have gone forth, and men/women are looking forward to the above programme, there is the need for us to labour in the place of prayer concerning every soul who will be coming and will be present before the Lord Jesus for the Solemn Assembly - as the people of God will be hearing the Word of God – the Message of God.

Luke 8:4-9; 11-15 (AMP)

What do all these people have in common? They heard the Word of God, but they did not all adhere to it to the end!

Prayers

·      Thank You our Father in heaven as You bid Your people to come unto You for the Solemn Assembly – for no man can come unto Jesus except the Father enables (draws) them to come (paraphrased – John 6:65). Thank You for what You have pre-ordained to do during/through this Solemn Assembly and thank You for it shall come to pass/it shall be established; thank You for Your hand of mercy that shall locate and bring souls into Your kingdom.

·        Thank You God for Your seed – Your message – Your Word that will come forth for/to all men; give unto us the mysteries that is in Your Word that affects the hearts of men, for You desire us to know it and for this to be a knowledge revealed unto our hearts.

·       “….he that hath ears…” [v8b]; ….”that in seeing….” [v10b]
Isaiah 6:9-10 – Thou who searcheth and knoweth the heart of men, remove every fatness of the heart - give unto us the understanding of Your Word inside our opened hearts; let not our ears be heavy to Your Word but please gives us listening ears to hear and to heed Your Word; and please open our eyes to see our wretchedness but behold God’s glory that He desires for us all.

·      Spirit of the Living God, as You help us to see – to hear – to understand, grant us all the grace of conviction, conversion and let Your healing take place in the lives of men; give unto us all a teachable spirit so that You can give us more understanding and a thirst to seek and long for the truth.

·       As many new converts hear the Word of God and encounter Christ and respond to Your call of salvation, Holy Spirit, let their hearts be affected and let every negative mindset/attitude to God begin to change, their lives transformed and re-birth inside of Christ Jesus.

·      God has commanded us to go and make disciples of all nations, teaching these new disciples to obey all the commands He has given us – Matthew 28:19-20.

Great Provider, make provision of every resource needed for these new disciples [human, materials, books] on their new journey to Calvary with Jesus; use every sister/brother to teach and to encourage Your “new disciples,” so that more people will be gathered unto You and for Your Kingdom purpose, thereby Your Church [Bride] can grow in number and discipleship multiplies.

For The Speakers Ministering At The Solemn Assembly

ü   Holy Spirit, let the power of the Cross take away from the mouth of the speakers, every carnality or compromising speech; let them not be swayed like a pendulum; keep and help them not to shift from the premise which is Christ Jesus and the message to be Cross-centred– 2 Corinthians 4:5.

ü    Holy Spirit, be the One transmitting the anointing over them; give them Your in-filling that is needed; grant them access to You O Lord.

ü   Prepare them ahead O Lord Jesus, so that Your presence can flow, so that lives can be touched; give them Your capacity to be able to contain those that God is bringing; “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men…” (Titus 2:11).

ü   Thank You Jesus for every spiritual provision You have made for Your men – grant them grace to access Your heart, so that they are not speaking with energy/force. Help them that the Word will be fresh and refreshing to the souls of men unto conviction and conversion every day.

ü  Help them to follow Your leading, Holy Spirit, so that time is not wasted, let them begin to abide under Your presence from now – begin Your work in their lives first; nourish them with the Word of God which is God’s nourishing power; make them available for You first – consecrated – set apart for Christ Jesus only - before being available unto men – Hebrews 10:10.

ü   Henceforth, let them daily abide under Your uninterrupted power supply which is from Your throne of grace, so that they will do according to Your will and good pleasure.

ü   May their ministration be endowed with Your glory by which it will subject the hearers to the place of repentance whereby they will cry, “What must I do to be saved?” (Acts 2).

For All The Diverse Resource Brethren Who Will Be On Ground For The Lord’s Service Towards The Programme

·      Let the love of Jesus be the one propelling every brother and sister to work in unity [to render the service with joy] – 1Corinthians 1:10, Ephesians 4:11-13.

·       Let them see the need to do the work with all diligence and obedience, since it is the Holy Spirit in them helping them to do what He wants – Philippians 2:13.

·       Holy Spirit, take away eye-service or lip-service from among the brethren, but let all services be unto the Lord alone. “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men”Colossians 3:23.

·       Amidst all challenges/disputes, Holy Spirit, let the love of Christ transcend in their midst – that they may see You at work – give them Your heart of labour.
