Discipleship Contact Meetings & Cell-Prayer Meetings

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Friday 12:30pm - 1:25pm (UK time)

·       These are central contact avenues for the establishment and continuation of the divine call/commission of Our Master Jesus unto all His disciples (as in Matthew 28:18-20).

·       They are centres where believers in Christ (men/women/youth/children) of different tribes and races, are being equipped for the work of the Ministry in the Body of Christ at this time and for all nations – verse 19.

·        They are also interdenominational gatherings where the message of the Cross and of the true full gospel of Christ is being shared; gatherings where the revelation of the knowledge and lifestyle of Our Great Discipler, JESUS, is being made known as empowered by the Holy Spirit.

·        Meeting points where men are being made to know by the help of the Holy Spirit, what it really means to be born-again (1 John 3:7-9 TLB), which is the first entry/gateway to the new life in Christ Jesus; rather than the adulterated falsehood of gospel from the kingdom of darkness being given unto men from some pulpits.

What are the Objectives of These Labours?

(A.)   Inspired by the Holy Spirit, the discipleship contact meetings are purposely for the Body of Christ which are:

ü Meant both for individual men/women, as well as leaders/ministers/pastors/general overseers – who are gateways to the church; who need to come to Calvary for themselves first and be incubated by the Man of Calvary Himself, in accordance to how He wants them to live the life of Jesus in them, before imparting and impacting the life of members in church or brethren – His Bride. It is a forum where the message of the Cross – the complete gospel (which is scarce and rare on the pulpit) is being brought to life so that men and women can see their wretchedness and run back to Him who died for them on the Cross.

ü From the above, having been incubated and become light-bearers, to affect the life of members, who in turn will also be light-bearers, so that the seed of discipleship being sown, continues to grow and multiply by the Holy Spirit until the LORD of the harvest comes; this also is the case for individual men/women who attend.

ü Platforms of discipleship where lives are being transformed by the power of the Holy Ghost, and the Spirit of God is being given the allowance and space to live His life in these vessels, thereby the Bridegroom is being projected unto the Church – His Bride; leaders who by their own level of conviction by the Holy Spirit, will make them to be determined to persuade others to follow Christ, since God is expecting to see the life that Jesus lived here on earth in their lives too.

ü That through the daily exercise of allowing the Holy Spirit for the work of the Ministry in the Body of Christ, men and women may know and become alive to the precise call of God upon their lives and are ready to take it up with the major focus of “Becoming like Jesus.”

(B)    Also inspired by the Holy Spirit and in line with the above (A), the cell-prayer meetings are purposely for the Body of Christ and:

ü It is a small unit of the general discipleship meeting for brethren and families (living within the different locality or community), whereby the Holy Spirit (through the study of the Word of God) permits minds to be rubbed on each other through the new-creation lifestyle and experience of the life-light of Jesus in each other.

ü It is a venue whereby the hearts of brethren are being enlightened more and deeper by the Holy Spirit in the understanding of the teachings/gospel of Jesus in order to grow in His Grace.

ü Because of the limited number of brethren, this gives opportunities for individual personal questions to be presented, due to matters that are being struggled with, and counsel are being given based on the truth from the Word of God.

ü During and at the end of these discipleship prayer meetings, it is meant to lead the brethren into a deep evaluation of God’s dealings upon individual lives, and to evaluate their personal experience as the Word of God is coming into their hearts.

What these Contact of Labour are not:

Ø Not a Bible Club nor Christian Social Club nor a Bible School;

Ø Not a Church, but gathering of believers from their different place of worship/denomination with the main goal of having a practical understanding of God’s purpose and living a Christ-filled life.

Ø Not a venue for outright hypocrites or living of a double life – “Do as I say, but don’t do as I do”; saints in the church but terror in the house.

Ø Not meant for those following God for their belly.

Ø Not a platform of looking for miracles, but ignoring the Miracle Worker or the Miracle Himself (Jesus).

Ø Not an opportunity to collect tithes and offering, and “disciple’s gifts.”

Ø Business inventions forum.

Ø Not door(s) to seeking of visioners/prophets, but to have an intimate personal relationship with Jesus who gives visions and makes prophets.

*At these different discipleship contact meetings, there are diverse Bible related discipleship materials/resources {e.g. books, publications, CDs, DVDs, MP3 messages etc.} for deeper understanding by the help of the Holy Spirit. *Also at these various discipleship centres, classes are being run for the children, as well as the youths, where they are also imbibed with God’s Word and call upon their lives (thereby enhancing their own personal conviction) – “Remember the LORD in the days of your youth.” Ecclesiastes 12:1a

Let’s Raise Our Banner of Thanksgiving!

v Thank You Jesus for creating and giving us the platform of discipleship – Matthew 28:18-20.

v Thank You Father, as it pleases You to reveal the glory of Your Son, Jesus to all men and women through the Holy Spirit (on the platform of discipleship) in order to reconcile us back to You (John 17).

v Thank You Father, for how You have began to form eternity into our souls through the platform of discipleship – by knowing You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, Him that You sent on earth to come in the flesh.

v Thank You Jesus for obeying Your Father’s commands and instructions by giving us the revelation knowledge of who He is, so that we too {being discipled by our Helper, the Holy Spirit}, will be able to obey the instructions/commands in accordance to the Word of God.

v Thank You Jesus that the natural man cannot please nor understand the things of God (Romans 8:8), and so You gave us the platform of discipleship to help us to grow by grace with Your new-created life inside of us (i.e. remain sinless like You), so that we do not get polluted by them of the old nature, since we are still in this world.

Petitions and Prayers
Matthew 14:15-19 (KJV) – “And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals. But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat. And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes. He said, Bring them hither to me. And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”

v  Let’s raise a cry unto Heaven concerning every resource brethren which God has called unto these discipleship labours at every contact centre/unit, that the Great Discipler begin with them first, and give them unction and utterance to speak as their Master has instructed them; let them be sensitive to Your prompting O Holy Spirit at every moment and let their hearts be opened to You; let their speech not be enticing words of the wisdom of men but let it be in demonstration of the Spirit of God.
v Verse 19 – Lord Jesus, as You commanded the crowd to sit down, help Your people as Your Father has bid them come, to sit down – let their spirit not be agitated – let them not be restless; as they settle down, Holy Spirit, please break into their hearts and let their heart be opened and  at rest in Christ Jesus.
v As You blessed and broke the bread, break Your Word gently unto Your people, so that it will digest well into every marrow of their soul, in order for their faith to stand in the power of God and not the wisdom of men - 1 Corinthians 2:5.
v 1 Corinthians 1:30 - O thou Purchaser of the salvation of mankind, breath Your breadth of life upon the souls who attend all these discipleship contact meetings because You gave up Your life for them; let it be that their hearts become affected as they come/attend so that they are acceptable and reconciled back to their Maker, as You purposed it to be.
v 1 Corinthians 2:2 - Now Lord Jesus, we plead with You, that every message of Jesus and Him crucified that is being preached and heard from these contacts platform will be the message that will send fire into the hearts of men; let there be a yearning for more of You Jesus.
v Holy Spirit, create a heartburn of Your truth in men/women as they come, so that every faulty foundation that has been laid can be demobilised by the Cross and Jesus will be the standard – the sure foundation - in their lives.
v Let Your people by Your Word; see You, the God of men, and not the men of God who have watered down the Word of God with their intellect, pride and opinions.
v For the leaders of denominations present at the meetings, circumcise their hearts, give them the heart and the humble spirit of a child to receive Your truth, Oh Lord; help them to be children even in discipleship and let them not be choosy - Matthew 18:2-4 KJV.
v As You daily lead them to Calvary, Lord Jesus, help them not to be proud men that are just big talkers. Let them give You space to humble them and make them to know that the kingdom of God is not just talking but living by God’s power, which is the power of new life (Holy Spirit) which must be evident.
v Our Jesus, along with Your Father, You chose 12 disciples - You sat upon them - You taught them and the platform of discipleship blossomed, becoming a mystery unto us till today. Let by Your divine power of multiplication of which You sowed 12, and uncountable numbers came forth; let it fall upon the lives of attendees at these various discipleship meetings. Cause every segment of Your gospel that they hear and understand, begin to work mysteriously in their lives, thereby producing good fruits to abide for the purpose of Your Kingdom.

The Writings and Publications

-Literature, Books and Magazines

-Electronic Books

-Blogs

-CD, DVD, MP3 Messages

-Children’s Books
2Timothy 3:16 (NLT) - "All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."

Hebrews 4:12 (KJV) - "For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

Romans 10:13-15 (KJV) - " For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things."

The aim for having these publication and writings is to spread the complete undiluted word of God; to use as a platform to proclaim Jesus and to win many souls to His Kingdom.

Children's Books
1Timothy 3:14-15 (AMP) - "But as for you, hold on to what you have learned and know to be true. Remember where you learned them. You have known the Holy Writings since you were a child."

There are a lot of books that children are reading and being fed with the wrong thoughts, doctrines and ideas.

Extract From The Booklet

“All Things New booklets” are a children’s adaptation of “The New Creation Man” message: “The creation, God’s plan for man, the interruption of that plan by the enemy, the consequences of that interruption, God’s plan of restoration for man, Why Jesus needed to come, and the original plan restored.”

These eternally liberating truths have been put in a vivid story form to capture the imagination of young children, trusting the Lord to give them an experiential knowledge of the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary. This gained, will remain with them for life, raising them as young disciples of Jesus who can proclaim the true gospel in their own generation as well. Young children must not be left behind in the coming revival. This will prepare them to have a solid foundation on which to base their lives and walk with the Lord now and also in the future.

·       Lord, we pray that the booklet (All Things New) will affect and impact the lives of the children.
·       Let it bring them to know what Jesus did on the cross.
·       Make them young disciples of Christ unto their generation.

Youngsters Decoding the Word

Youngsters Decoding the Word is an Online Bible Fellowship for teenagers (ages 13-19) where God is raising samples and specimens of young people for His glory.
We meet every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at 3.30pm (UK time).

What This Labour Is About
A group of young people (ages 13-19) learning about the mystery of the complete gospel of Jesus Christ.

Testimonies
Thank God for His mercy and faithfulness upon this platform. Praise God for what He is doing in the secret place which reflects in the way they keep coming back for more of Him. Thank God for their faithfulness and commitment, for the understanding of God’s call upon their lives (personal conviction). We hear of their growth in the Lord when they share the Word and their conviction; this is a humbling experience.

  • They are building a relationship with the Lord and are able to go to the Lord themselves when they have issues.
  • They have been separated unto the Lord as vessels that He will use to reach out to other teenagers around the world.
  • Some of them came from the Trip to Calvary platform (ages 0-12) to Decoding the Word platform. Some are in the university and they try to join the platform from the university.
  • We have one of the young sisters who does the worship session and we see the Lord preparing her to be His minstrel.

2Thess 3:1-5 (NLT) – “Finally, dear brothers and sisters, we ask you to pray for us. Pray that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and be honoured wherever it goes, just as when it came to you. Pray, too, that we will be rescued from wicked and evil people, for not everyone is a believer. But the Lord is faithful; he will strengthen you and guard you from the evil one.  and we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you. May the Lord lead your hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ."

2Thess 3:1-5 (TLB) – “Finally, dear brothers, as I come to the end of this letter, I ask you to pray for us. Pray first that the Lord’s message will spread rapidly and triumph wherever it goes, winning converts everywhere as it did when it came to you.Pray, too, that we will be saved out of the clutches of evil men, for not everyone loves the Lord. But the Lord is faithful; he will make you strong and guard you from satanic attacks of every kind. And we trust the Lord that you are putting into practice the things we taught you, and that you always will.May the Lord bring you into an ever deeper understanding of the love of God and of the patience that comes from Christ."

Prayer Points
  • Thank You Lord for decoding the Word to them that Jesus Christ the Son of God, the perfect sacrifice, has reconciled them back to You Father through His death on the cross.
  • Please Father, keep them rooted inside the complete gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • Lord, help them to continue fervently and strong in the complete gospel and not to draw back to the world.
  • Root them in the company of those who continue to believe and are disciples after Christ.
  • Lord, let the Word that has been sown spread rapidly and cause it to be honoured in their lives.
  • Pray that the Lord will grant them even deeper understanding of His Word.
  • Lord, sustain them to continue following and obeying that which they have been taught.
  • May the Lord lead their hearts into a full understanding and expression of the love of God and the patient endurance that comes from Christ.
  • Father, deliver them from ungodly friends and evil men who might want to come and sow the wrong seed into their hearts.
  • Lord, may they never deny their identity in Christ.
  • Father, let them have the boldness to confront their peers and teachers with the Gospel of Christ; for greater is He that is in them than he that is in the world.
  • Make them sowers of the seed that they also may reap a harvest.
  • Lord, open the heart of every child connected to this truth and let the miracle of salvation experienced on this platform be their portion.

John 4:34-39 (NLT) – “Then Jesus explained: “My nourishment comes from doing the will of God, who sent me, and from finishing his work. 35 You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe for harvest. 36 The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester alike! 37 You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s true. 38 I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”

  • Lord, as Jesus was in haste to do the Father’s business, bring haste in the sowing and reaping process in this labour.
  • Father, let this platform be an open door to reach out to teenagers all over the world through the internet.
  • As they surf the internet, Lord let Your Holy Spirit lead them into connecting to this platform and open their minds to receive Your Word.
  • Father, enlarge and expand the scope of this labour/platform.
Pray for those who anchor this platform – Matt 13:3b – Behold a sower went out to sow…” The preacher of the gospel is the sower. He does not make his seed; it is given him by his divine Master. No man could create the smallest grain that ever grew upon the earth, much less the seed of eternal life. The minister goes to his Master in secret, and asks Him to teach him His gospel, and thus he fills his basket with the good seed of the kingdom. He then goes forth in his Master's name and scatters precious truth

  • Lord, we thank You for those who have obeyed Your call to go forth and spread precious seed of the Gospel.
  • Father, keep and sustain them in the truth and let them continue to fill their basket with the seed of the Gospel.
Psa 126:5-6 (KJV) They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.”
Psa 126:5-6 (NLT)“Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.they weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.”

  • Father, let them rejoice as they reap the harvest of this labour.
  • Make them Your specimen and sample after Christ  who will confront with boldness and stand firm against anything that defiles in their generation.

Labouring in Him (2)

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Saturday 10:30pm - 12:30am (UK time)

Labouring in His Rest

John 15:4-5Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.

Hebrews 4: 1-10 (NKJV) – Therefore, since a promise remains of entering His rest, let us fear lest any of you seem to have come short of it. For indeed the gospel was preached to us as well as to them; but the word which they heard did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in those who heard it. For we who have believed do enter that rest, as He has said: “So I swore in My wrath, ‘They shall not enter My rest,’” though the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: “They shall not enter My rest.” Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, again He designates a certain day, saying in David, “Today,” after such a long time, as it has been said: “Today, if you will hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day. There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. 10 For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His.

  • Jesus Christ is the kingdom labourer in us. We are to do nothing but remain connected with the vine in order to bear fruit. We are to enter into a labour that is already finished. At the cross, Jesus said, “It is finished.” The Lamb was slain from the foundations of the world. When God Himself ended His work that He had done in Genesis chapter 2, He blessed the seventh day and sanctified it because it He rested from all His work.
  • There is a rest for the people of God, and it is from this position of rest that kingdom labour is done. This rest is found in Christ and it is only accessible to a man when He believes the work of the cross and takes action. He who has entered God’s rest has himself ceased from his works as God did from His. The rest of God gives us rest from sin, rest from Satan and rest from the world system.
  • The only thing that hinders us from entering into the God’s rest is disobedience (unbelief). Thanks be to God for the freedom we have in Christ when we know that our old man has been crucified with Christ, the body of sin has been destroyed and we are no longer slaves of sin (Romans 6:6) .When the people asked Jesus – , “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” 29 Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.” This is the work we have been called into as kingdom labourers.

Labouring outside God’s rest is very tedious. The old man is a hard task master that forces his slaves of sin into this kind of labour, just like the Egyptians as they laboured under Pharaoh.

Deuteronomy 26:6-10 (NKJV)But the Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us.Then we cried out to the Lord God of our fathers, and the Lord heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. So the Lord brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders.

This is our cry:
  • Lord, settle me into the rest of God so that in my labour will win divine approval. They did not enter into Your rest because of unbelief. Please give me a heart that believes. Strip me of all activities and ministries that add nothing to your plan; that have nothing to do with Your Kingdom increase.
  • Lord, on account of my life, You will see the labour of our soul and You will be satisfied - Isaiah 53:10-11 (NKJV).
  • Lord, strip me of all labour that does not allow me to sit at your feet. Martha was all over the place. She was labouring hard, but she neglected the one thing that was needful – to sit at His feet and take instructions for her life and ministry.
  • Lord, please bring me into Your rest in all areas of my life. Now that my restless old man had been crucified with Christ, please rid me of all his restless relics.

 Labouring in His Suffering

Colossians 1:28 (NKJV) - 24 I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church, 25 of which I became a minister according to the stewardship from God which was given to me for you, to fulfill the word of God, 26 the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints. 27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which[d] is Christ in you, the hope of glory.28 Him we preach, warning every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus. 29 To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

  • Lord, please give us understanding and bring me to a place of actually rejoicing in suffering for others, knowing that it was Your suffering that brought life to me.
  • Lord, please don’t let me take the easy way out and be lackadaisical about revival labour. Help me to know that if I avoid persecution, reproach, shame e.t.c …I am avoiding opportunities to reach out to people with the gospel message which is the only power that can save them.

 Labouring to Preach Him

2 Corinthians 4:5 - For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.
  • Lord, please don’t let me end up preach myself. Let nothing of me obscure the message.  Let Your Holy Spirit lead me into all truth as I present the gospel.
How can I preach who I do not know? How can preach who I have not experienced? What will I teach if the Teacher Himself has not taught me?
  • Lord, let my gospel be the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ not another gospel. Apostle Paul said if anyone (even he himself) preaches another gospel, let him be accursed.
  • Lord, it will be You I will preach - The message of the cross. Christ and Him Crucified. Narrow me down to this. Bring understanding to my life that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation, not Bible stories.
Apostle Paul knew what being a labourer was about - his life first at rest, to bring other lives into rest. We cannot call a man into the rest of God if we are not at rest – If we are still labouring for the taskmaster of the old man. At best, it makes us weary and exhausted and it adds nothing to move the plan of God forward in our generation, which only the NEW MAN can do.
  • Lord, help me to put off the old man and put on the new man (complete repentance).
  • Settle me down to learn of Christ and bring me into discipleship.

Labouring in Him

Join this HeartCry Prayer - Every Saturday 10:30pm - 12:30am (UK time)

Mark 3 Amplified Bible (AMP)
14 And He appointed twelve [disciples], so that they would be with Him [for instruction] and so that He could send them out to preach [the gospel as apostles—that is, as His special messengers, personally chosen representatives],

Prayer:
  • Lord, being with You is to be a labourer to be with You, labourer to learn of You labourer to be like You in passion, truthfulness and diligence. Help me to learn of You, to become a labourer like You to be passionate, truthful, trustworthy, and diligent
  • Lord, those who had been with You; see like You see, labour like You labour (with compassion). Lord, help me to see like You see, help me to have compassion like You
  • The equipping of the labourer; a labourer must:
               Be physically fit.
Have strength in the inner man.
               Not break ranks.
Be holding correct tools and implements.
               Liquid content only

From the field to becoming like Jesus is a process.
  • Lord, help me on my way, in all I do so from inside out I become like You
1Corinthians 15:58(NKJV)
58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
  • Steadfast – firmly fixed on Christ. Lord, help me not to grow weary or tired in labouring for You. Help me live a life in you.
  • Immovable – Let not my faith be shaken in any circumstances
  • Abounding in the work of the Lord- help me to go beyond ordinary standard in working for You Lord
  • Knowing that your labour is not in vain in the Lord – labouring for Your kingdom is the best purpose we could ever find. Lord, help us to keep knowing that work done for You will never be forgotten and the reward could never be equalled on earth.

God's Divine Choice

Join this HeartCry Prayer- Every Saturday 10.30pm-12.30am (UK time)

2 Thessalonians 2:13-15 brings together what the Lord has done for us, our response, and what His expectation for us is as Kingdom Labourers.

(NKJV)
13 But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, 14 to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 Therefore, brethren, stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.

(TLB)
13 But we must forever give thanks to God for you, our brothers loved by the Lord, because God chose from the very first to give you salvation, cleansing you by the work of the Holy Spirit and by your trusting in the Truth. 14 Through us he told you the Good News. Through us he called you to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. 15 With all these things in mind, dear brothers, stand firm and keep a strong grip on the truth that we taught you in our letters and during the time we were with you.

Prayer

As Kingdom Labourers, we need a revelation of being God's divine choice for salvation so that we would not be careless with what He wants to achieve through us.

  • Thank God for making us His choice for salvation.
  • Thank Him for loving us and for setting us apart for sanctification.
  • Thank Him for the faithfulness to complete our sanctification – spirit, soul and body (1 Thessalonians 5:23).

His work of mercy brought the truth to us and caused us to believe. It is also His work of mercy that will establish us in it and help us to stand firm and keep a strong grip on the truth we have been taught.

  • Thank him for His mercy that brought the truth of the gospel to us.
  • Pray that what mercy has started, mercy will complete; that God will establish us in this truth and make us stand fast.

God has called us through the gospel for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. Through us, He wants to do His work – which is to reconcile men to God, to bring many sons to glory.

  • Pray that we would not miss the reason why He set us apart unto the truth of the gospel. Instead we will share in His glory.
  • Ask Him to help us carry His life us as real Kingdom Labourers and to co-operate with His plan, because of the glory He has in store for us.

To be His divine choice is not a matter to be taking lightly. It’s ‘according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved’ ( Ephesians 1:5-6)  so we must not be careless with it. When the gospel came to Paul by revelation, this was his response:

Galatians 1:15-24 (NKJV)
15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb and called me through His grace, 16 to reveal His Son in me, that I might preach Him among the Gentiles, I did not immediately confer with flesh and blood,
… 24 And they glorified God in me.

  • Ask the Lord to Reveal His Son in us afresh and equip us with a scope for the revival labour He has called us into by mercy, so that we are not careless with the revelation of the truth.
  • Ask for grace to be fruitful and to multiply the life of Christ in those in our field of labour and that God will be glorified in us.
