Gathering Up Fragments - Disciples Summit 2016

THE DAY HAS BROKEN UPON US Psalm 110:1-7 (KJV)
  • The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
  • The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
  • Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
  • The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
  • The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
  • He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
  • He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.

God of creation/Genesis 1:1-5

In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.

God’s mandate to man @ creation/Gen 1:28

And God blessed them, and God said unto them,

Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion

over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

Our Lord confirms God’s mandate for fruitfulness/John 15: 1-5

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser.

Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit.

You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.

RODS=LIGHT=FRUITS=DISCIPLES

When the rods are sent out what are they to do?

When the light shines forth, what is it to do?

What are the fruits that the Lord is looking for?

When He say multiply this kind of life in Genesis, what does that mean?

God means reproduce disciples after your own kind, that is, after the Christ living inside of you.

Pick them one by one and sit upon them; as I bless these fruits, they will multiply exponentially and revival will burst forth.

Revival is the result of God blessing the fruits of disciples as they receive, one life at a time, and sit on them until Christ life burst forth in them.

Exponential multiplication of disciples = Revival

       12, 70, 120, 3000, 5000, multitudes.

Very unusual, steady, rapid rate of growth of disciples.

This is God blessing the fruit bearing efforts of His disciples.

That is what we call a revival.

Disciples multiplying at a rate that can only be by the hand of God.

It only happens as God blesses the fruits that His disciples are making.

If we don’t start bearing fruits , there will be nothing for God to bless exponentially.

If we don’t start pouring what we have received into other  lives our cry will be in vain.

God’s pattern for revival

God’s mandate is still the same.

I will send my rods as light out of Zion to rule in the midst of my enemies.

How? By bearing fruits; by their sitting on lives and making disciples of every nation under the heavens.

As I multiply their fruits in every aspect of human life, then revival will burst forth.

He has given us enough provision for fruit bearing.

Provisions for fruitfulness and revival

He is the vine and He is the vinedresser. He took away our old man and gave us His own life flowing through us. His life will automatically bear fruit inside of me.

His word prunes us so we can bear much fruit by using the same word He has sent to us to affect and build other lifes.

His abiding presence, when we abide with Him, He abides with us. We should not be afraid of their faces.

Prayer Points

Galatians 4:19 - My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

Proverbs 30:15&16 - The horseleach hath two daughters, crying, Give, give. There are three things that are never satisfied, yea, four things say not, It is enough: The grave; and the barren womb; the earth that is not filled with water; and the fire that saith not, It is enough.

       Oh Lord! Multiply disciples.

Oh Lord! Multiply disciples Lord, please cause an exponential growth of fruits.

Lord, please cause an unprecedented growth of disciples.

Oh Lord Our God, we ask for an urgent upsurge/increase in disciple making, fruit bearing, reaching out with the gospel.

Place a burden upon the hearts of Your children to begin to obey the mandate …go and make disciples of all nation…

Lord, open the heart of men as we go; please Lord, open their hearts towards us in Jesus name.

Lord, break down every barrier in the hearts of men which have hitherto prevented us access into their lives.

Deliver me from this barrenness of life, oh Lord!

Let me see the barrenness in my life as you see it - untenable, unacceptable, intolerable, inexcusable, in defensible before You.

Show me that bearing fruits is what will usher in the revival I have been crying for.

Put in me an insatiable desire for fruits; for disciples to raise for you.

Put inside my heart a deep longing for raising fruits/disciples for my Master.

Let disciple-making now be the consuming passion of my life as we cry, “Give me Europe”, “Nigeria, occupy till I come” , “Youth ablaze”, “Women in travail” on this Monday platform.
Ask the Lord deliberately now for a life to pour into. Give me a life, one life at a time, oh Lord!

Ask for your children/ grandchildren; tell the Lord, “Please give me my children as the 1st fruits of the life of Jesus which I carry now; give them to me, Lord, as my disciple.”

Ask for other family members by name.

       Ask for neighbours by name.

Ask for colleagues at work by name.

Lord, please give me a life; Lord, send me one person to raise for You as a disciple.

Silent Prayers

Make a list now of these ones that you will present before the Lord day and night until Christ be formed in them.

Make a commitment to labour over them in prayer, in teaching, in training until Christ be formed in them.

Don’t make a long list and start with one or two out of your list of names.

Those to whom you have direct access to right now - your children, your parents, your siblings, a close friend, one or two colleagues or neighbours as the Lord directs, let us place them before the Lord.

LORD, PLEASE GIVE US THESE LIFES, WE PLEAD WITH YOU, OH LORD WE BESEECH YOU.
