Version)
Zion, you have good news to tell. Go up on a
high mountain and shout the good news. Jerusalem, you have good news to tell.
Don’t be afraid; speak loudly. Tell this news to all the cities of Judah: “Look,
here is your God!” The Lord God is coming with power. He will use his power to
rule all the people. He will bring rewards for his people. He will have their
payment with him. Like a good shepherd, he takes care of his people. He gathers
them like lambs in his arms. He holds them close, while their mothers walk
beside him.

10 For we are His workmanship [His
own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from
above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living
the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].

10 God has made us what we are. In
Christ Jesus, God made us new people so that we would spend our lives doing the
good things he had already planned for
us to do.
- The works which the Lord has for me are already prepared, planned, designed, costed up and provided for by God Himself. The works are part of His masterplan.
- It is not our concern how these works will be financed. The Lord does not want me to be distracted from His work because of provisions. He does not need me to fund His work by running around doing other things.
- I ought to be aligned to God’s masterplan, His agenda and His curriculum. Whose curriculum and agenda am I pursuing right now?
- I have this new life in Christ so that I can do those things which God has ordained for me. This is why I am His workmanship, work of art, master piece.
Prayers
- Father, thank You for re-creating me inside Christ Jesus. Thank You for my new life inside Christ. Thank You for spiritually transforming me, renewing me and making me ready for Your use. Thank You for preparing the works You want to do in me.
- Lord, I plead with You today, set me in motion concerning the works You want to do in me. Lord, please don’t let me miss them; show them to me. (John 5:19-20)
- Lord, help me to fulfil Your purpose for creating me in Christ Jesus. Let there be an accomplishment of everything You have planned for me in Your masterplan. Let nothing that You have created me in Christ for be left undone!
- Lord, any labour that I’m involved in that is not on Your masterplan, please show it to me and rid me of it quickly. Lord, help me to re-trace my steps until I find myself inside Your own agenda.
- Lord, establish my feet in those works You have planned, designed, costed up and provided for. Plant me in them and cause me to flourish in them.

Make us fishers of men.

But prayer and faith and unity
Will bring the latter rain.

O Lord help us to pray
Travailing as in birth for souls
Till You revive the Church
