1 Samuel 22:1-3
David therefore departed from there and escaped to
the cave of Adullam. So when his brothers and all his father’s house heard it,
they went down there to him. 2 And everyone who was in distress, everyone
who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him. So he
became captain over them. And there were about four hundred men with him.

2 Corinthians 4:10-12
We always carry around in our body the death of
Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For
we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so
that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So
then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
