The Lord is
simple but human beings have a way of complicating Him. Some are too smart
and intelligent for God. God tries various means of breaking us but often times, we slip away.
Thank God, for He
has not come unto us in parables, but in accents clear and still.
If there is
anything a Kingdom Labour should be entitled to, it is the secrets and
mysteries of the kingdom they belong to - Matt 13: 10 -11. Kingdom Labourers are not
better than other Christians who have not come to the knowledge of the way of the cross and complete gospel; but God by His mercy, hand-picks them that His truth might be revealed to them.
…Knowledge of the truth is not enough - a Kingdom Labourer must seek revelation.
Matthew 13: 12 -
The parable of the sower was meant for disciples, not unbelievers, to enable them learn and apply their hearts unto what have they
had received from the Lord. The Lord did this by showing them the various ways
whereby the enemy comes in to devour!
Looking closely into this passage, we will discover that the Lord
was focusing on the HEART of man. The different kinds of ground represented different kinds of hearts.
God knows that it is the heart that has
been worked upon and prepared that can
receive and put into use what He gives to it.
The state of our heart matters so much to God because it determines
how far He can really work with us. This is because He wants to deposit a lot of treasures into our lives - truth from His Word that will
bring about our daily sanctification and complete transformations - if we allow it to have free course in our lives.
John 10:10 – “The thief cometh not, but only to steal, kill and
destroy.”
In essence, our lives will not be attractive to the devil if there is no treasure in it.
The Bible makes us understand that even the very elect themselves will be deceived. If the Word of God is casual to us, we will become casualties and part of the deceived!
What kind of heart do you have?
