Ephesians 2:10
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ
Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
NKJV
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His
workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may
do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking
paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the
good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].” AMP
There is a work that God has done, which must be activated
in each of our lives in order for us to be able to enter into the Kingdom Labour that He prepared for us long ago.
Workmanship means ‘handiwork’ – a work that God
Himself did.
We are God’s masterpiece –
Eph. 2:10 NLT.
A masterpiece is an outstanding piece of work; a
workmanship that is exceptional.
As Kingdom Labourers:
1. God wants us to know that the work He did on the
cross is exceptional, and He wants our lives to reflect the masterpiece He
created, that is, the NEW MAN – Eph. 4:22-23.
2. God wants us to know that in order to have knowledge of His will
concerning those good works He has prepared for us, we must present our bodies
a living sacrifice (demonstrate that we died), be not conformed to the world,
be transformed – Rom. 12:1-2.
3. God wants us to walk worthy in the paths to which
He has called us – Eph. 4:1.
4. God wants us to know that He Himself has given us
apostles, prophet, evangelists, pastors and teachers to help us grow into the
measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ – Eph. 4:11-13.
For we are His workmanship, created in
Christ Jesus…

Lord,
thank You for cross – a work that made me into Your masterpiece.
ü
Help
me to know that I cannot be a Kingdom Labourer if I do not allow the cross to
have effect in me.
ü
Reveal
the cross to me afresh.
ü
Grant
me spiritual understanding of the full Gospel.
ü
Let
my life reflect Your outstanding workmanship – bring me into the reality of ‘old
things passed away and all things have
become new’ – 2 Cor. 5:17.
ü
De-clutter
me from every dead work that distorts Your masterpiece.
ü
You
will see the fruit of Your workmanship in my life and be satisfied – Isaiah
53:11.
For good works, which God prepared beforehand…
ü
Open
my ears and cause me to hear Your voice calling me to the paths leading to the
good works You have prepared for me. Please silence every voice calling me to
another path.
ü
Prevail
over my heart and make me faithful to your instruction.
ü
Expose
anything hidden in me that does not align to Your purpose for my life.
ü
Confirm
my death with you on the cross and let Your life have full expression in me –
Rom. 12:1-2.
ü
Strengthen
me in Your grace to stand apart from the expectations of the world.
ü
Instead,
grant that I will conform to the image of Christ.
ü
Renew
my mind and cause me to that learn from Your personal dealings in my life, what
Your will for me is.
That we should walk in them.
ü
Help
me to yield totally to You so that I can walk worthy of my calling.
ü
Help
me to pay attention to all the help You have provided for me to come to the
measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ.
ü
Help
me to walk as I have learned of Christ and allow the new man to be the kingdom
labourer – Eph.4:20, Col. 3:12-17.
