Common Features
They both hear "these sayings of mine"
- They went up to the mount as disciples
- They were not aversed to Jesus' words, unlike the Pharisees, leaders, etc
- Went to discipleship meetings, webinars, Heartcry platforms, etc
- They were both Disciples, like Peter and Judas. Luke and Demas.

They both build their house
- Building the house of their lives as God's temple
- Building the house of their labour on other lives as God's temples.
- Both laid foundation for their house
- They were both Kingdom Labourers, like Peter and Judas. Luke and Demas.

They both experienced natural effects: Rain, Floods, Winds
- RAIN: Provision, planting & harvesting, plenty
- FLOODS: Challenges, lack, want, waste,
- WINDS: Faith challenges, persecution, battles

Contrast Features
One does "these sayings of mine". The other does them not- Romans 2:13, James 1:22
One builds on the rock- solid foundation, full Gospel. The other built on sand- shifty.
One's house stood firm. The other's house collapsed great.

Luke and Demas
- Both disciples of Paul- Colossians 4:13-15.
- Both laboured with Paul as kingdom labourers- Philemon 1:24
- Both experienced natural effects: Provision, Lack, Persecution
- Luke heard and did.
Proof- Luke's Gospel, the Acts of the Apostles- Luke 1:1-4, 2Timothy 4:11
- Demas heard and did not.
Proof- Forsook Paul, loved this world, departed to Thessalonica- 2Tim 4:10

ü  Make me both a hearer and a doer of Your Word.
ü  Give me courage to follow You to the mountain to hear You.
ü  Give me courage to take action on what I hear. Make me a doer, not just a hearer.
ü  Help me build on the solid foundation of the full Gospel of CHRIST.
ü  Help me focus on obeying You rather than on the "rain", "floods" and "winds". They are just natural effects that come to distract and defocus me.
ü  Make me a Luke, not a Demas. A peter, not a Judas.

"Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;" John 8:31- LORD please make me Your disciple indeed
